OUR SUSTAINABILITY

At Camp Møns Klint we are increasingly focusing on sustainability and making an extra effort to protect nature and the environment. Our desire to create a greener world shapes many of the projects taking place on Camp Møns Klint. Sustainable projects need energy which is why we installed an array of sustainable measures making sure that we can produce and deliver the energy we use. This initiative is part of our sustainability strategy which is based on the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which we are still working towards in order to strengthen our day-to-day running of the site.

Camp Møns Klint is self-sufficient with water and heat coming from own waterworks and wood chip and straw boilers respectively. Through our production, we secure consistent and green energy for both Klintholm Gods, Camp Møns Klint, and Klintholm Gods Lake Apartments. Here, nature comes first, and that is the way it will stay. We are situated in the heart of a designated UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and Dark Sky Park, and the hard work behind these unique nominations is recognised by amongst other things Danmarks Naturkanon 2018, and visits from National Geographic.
